Love Story: A Real Proposal
We are so privileged to be in the business of making loves’ dreams, reality. Here is a beautiful story of two sweethearts, Brandon and Stephanie.
The Story told by Stephanie: Brandon has lived in Granite Bay, and I lived in Visalia. It was about 240-mile drive to see each other. He would drive down about once per month, and I would try to come up once per month. My cousin lives in Loomis, so I stayed with her when I visited.
Brandon was pretty elaborate in his proposal. It started when I woke up, about 5:30am. My Dad gave me a card with a rose tied to it. In the card was a sweet note from Brandon, followed by a clue to the next card and rose. I had to find six of these before I found him. He was waiting on the lake dock for me. He had gotten up around 3:00am, made breakfast, set out the cards, set up the table with his Mom’s fine china and crystal and waited for me. He proposed, and then we enjoyed breakfast with the sun rising over the water. On our wedding day, he was waiting on the dock again to see me for the first time and to take our pictures. It’s a special place for us.
He designed the ring by himself; it was a complete surprise to me. My only requirement was that is couldn’t be too big because I ride horses. If it were too big it could get in the way. So, he and Greene & Company worked together to design my ring. It turned out perfect.
We picked our wedding bands together and had them inscribed with ‘I choose you’. It’s the present tense because we choose each other every day.
